Data Sources, Licensing & Provenance
At MyBankIFSCCode, transparency and provenance tracking are core engineering priorities. Every bank, branch, and electronic routing code in our system originates from verified public clearing registers and undergoes structured pipeline validation.
Master Data Provenance Architecture
Every branch record stored in our PostgreSQL database tracks seven deterministic provenance attributes:
| Provenance Field | Description | Current Pipeline Standard |
|---|---|---|
| source_name | Originating regulatory authority / clearing entity | RBI Directory & NPCI Financial Routing Master |
| source_retrieved_at | Exact timestamp when snapshot was fetched | Quarterly automated sync & periodic delta patches |
| source_version | Origin release edition tag | 2026-Q1-REL |
| transformation_version | Internal ETL pipeline normalization algorithm | v2.4.0-etl-verified |
| source_license_terms | Permitted usage and distribution terms | Open Public Financial Routing Data for Clearing |
Licensing & Terms Compliance
We do NOT scrape or republish data where source terms explicitly prohibit redistribution. All financial identifiers (IFSC, MICR, Pincode) represent standardized public infrastructure routing codes maintained for interoperable electronic payment clearance across India.
